This November will be our first trip to Disney where we will be staying onsite and (possibly) purchasing UPHs. We have ressies for Nov 2 through Nov 6. We want to get UPHs for just three full days, however. We will be checking in late on the 2nd, and we are leaving as soon as we check out on the 6th.

I am really nervous about getting to the resort and possibly not being able to knock off the first and last days of our ressie for UPHs. There is a good deal on three day PHPs online- should I go ahead and order these, or risk trying to get UPHs when we are there?

Thanks for your advice! princess:

Assuming that you have a room only reservation, then it's not a risk. You can definitely drop the first and last day of your UPH. The only drawback is that you need to wait until check in to purchase them. You'll lose the discount for pre-purchase, but dropping those 2 days will more than make up for it.

If you purchased a package, such as dream maker, then you cannot drop anything. The way to get around it, is to have your first and last day as separate room only reservations and your middle three days as the package.

Some people have been successful in doing this. I really believe it depends on the CM that you get. We were successful doing this for one trip a few years ago. We had a really nice CM at the ASMO that really helped us get just the length of UPH's that we needed. The next year we got a real stinker of a CM that was not helpful at all. As a matter of fact, I knew more than the CM did but it didn't help. After that I vowed that I would never again purchase UPH's. DH & I always purchase AP's but any other tickets that we purchase for family members I now purchase from Ticketmania. Where did you see the 3 day hoppers?

Well, I'm not supposed to say, but if you get the Mousesavers Newsletter, you will see who it is. You can PM me and I'll let you know.

On our last trip we stayed at POR and dropped the first and last days for UPH purposes. What I wound up doing was actually making two ressies -one for one night and one for 4 nights (with UPHs). The CM who originally booked me told me this was the only way to do it. The only inconvenience was that on the first morning of our stay I had to go to the lobby and check us out and them back in:rolleyes: .

Do you know what the cost of UPH's is child and adult, by the day, if you have a room only reservation?
