I am trying to find the prices for UPH if I have the first or last day taken off upon check-in.

Do I just take the price for one less day at the price for not pre-purchasing? I cannot get an answer from WDW.

Thanks!

Yes...you obviously would not ge tthe pre-purchase price if you wait to buy at the hotel, but it is not that huge a difference. You would just look at the pricing for the amount of days you are using. Example: You are at WDW for 6nights/7 days but you arrive late in the day and do not wish to go into a park... Instead of buying a 6 night/ 7day ticket for $356.79 you would be purchasing a 5night/6day ticket for $323.78 (in fact removing the first day, so the ticket start date would be the second day of your vacation) the front desk is able to modify it to remove the first or last day to accomodate late arrivals and early departures...

I hope that answered your question :)

That is the way I was figuring it so thank you very much. It's really not a huge savings that's for sure.

One thing to consider:

If you did want the UPH for the entire duration of your stay, you could purchase the pass in advance and save a few dollars with the Advance Purchase pricing.

The numbers you should really be comparing given LibertyBelle's example are:

7 day, 6 night Advance Purchase: $333.35

6 days, 5 night Check-In: $323.76

That closes the pricing gap even further. Don't know exactly what time you are arriving, but just realize that (for the purposes of this example), you're only saving $10 by dropping that first day.

Under normal circumstances, you cannot get the advance purchase prices while dropping days from your stay. It has to be for the entire period from check-in to check-out. There are some funny things you can do with your ressie to manipulate the system further, but I'm not going to go into that here.

Great example tjkraz, I didn't even think of looking at it like that, it is less then $10 difference and you have the additional day if you change your mind and want to use it... Either way, the price difference is not that drastic so, whatever works...but that was a good example to go by :)

For the days we will be there, I would only save ONE dollar. I'll prepay and fly to the park when we arrive :)

Thanks for all your help. I wanted to make sure I was figuring it correctly.
