We are staying at the Poly LVC arriving Wed. March 17th at approx 1:30pm. We will be staying 3 nights, checking out on Saturday. On Saturday we move over to the Beach Club Concierge, and our luggage will be transferred, correct? We are staying at the Beach Club for Sat and Sunday nights before we move to Universal Royal Pacific for the final 2 nights.

We plan to go to the parks upon our arrival Wednesday and on the last day, Monday March 22nd where we finish up with Hoop De Doo that night befor heading to US/IOA.

My question on tickets is how we can buy UPH for full access AND room charge capability without overpaying for the transfer day?My other concern is if they check out on Sat morning, will they be able to go to the parks and charge to the room BEFORE checking into the BC?

I hope it's possible to to do this without much trouble, because I'll be at the convention center on the transfer day and would hate to leave my wife/kids in a bind without park tickets or charging ability.

Good question.

The UPH tickeets from your stay at Poly LVC are good until midnight the day of check out, correct?

Obviously, you don't want to buy another UPH for that day.

Can one person in your party go to BC Concierge and check-in early on transfer day? You can put a CC down and then you'll have your room keys with charging ability. Can you then buy the UPH at BC starting the nest day?

Can you then use your Poly keys that will have the UPH on them that is good until midnight?

I would call or e-mail the Itinerary Planning Office at either resort and ask them the best way to go about this.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Be sure to post back what you find out.:sunny:

We have done the hotel switch a couple times and I don't think you can get an ultimate park hopper for the entire length of stay if you are switching hotels, but I could easily be wrong about this. I'm looking forward to seeing the answers from some of the more veteran hotel switchers.

I doubt you will be able to charge to the BC room before checking in there, but you will still be able to charge to the Poly room after checking out there.

Your charging priviliges will be no problem since the cards from your first resort will still be valid until midnight of your checkout day. You can use those cards until you have you have checked into your 2nd resort.

If you are SURE you want to use the UPH instead of park hoppers for your split stay, that is also do-able. Disney allows you to leave off your arrival OR departure day from your UPH if you wish. So just leave you arrival day off of your UPH at your 2nd resort.

The only thing I'm not sure about is if you can buy your UPH for your 2nd resort in advance, or if you'll need to purchase that at check-in for a slightly higher cost than it would be if purchased in advance. I remember reading "somewhere" that to leave a day off a UPH it had to be purchased at check in. My memory is fuzzy on that one, though.

Hope this helps a little.

I was sure that I wanted the UPH's until I thought about the logistics of the split stay.
Assuming I drop the first day of the Beach Club when I get there, I figure we can charge on AND use the Poly UPH's for the transfer day.

I will try to get through to Island Planning , but they haven't been too responsive. The BC concierge staff might get a call as well.

If you ask for that at the Poly, it will be taken care of.

If I'm reading what you wrote correctly, you only want UPH's to cover for the day you arrive at the Poly and on the last day that you are at the BC so there would be no overlap.

It can be done but you will have to purchase them at check-in at the Poly for the Wednesday and then again on Monday at the BC to purchase another one.

My other concern is if they check out on Sat morning, will they be able to go to the parks and charge to the room BEFORE checking into the BC?

Charging to the room is not a problem. Even after you have done express checkout, you can continue to charge to your resort ID until midnight of check out day providing you have left a credit card on file when you checked in.

Going to the parks might pose a problem if you only got a UPH for the two days you specified unless you have some unused park hoppers or convention tickets that you are going to use that day.

Thanks GoldenOldie!

I guess that the only thing I will not be able to do is save on the advance purchase of the UPH's. That is great that they will drop the first day of the pass at the Beach Club but still give us our room keys and charging priviliges.

Thanks again and trip report to follow in approx 20 days.....
