I have a FT pkg booked for myself, DH and DD. My Bro and SIS might come down for a few days. If they come, SIS and I will take DD to MK while the men just hang out. Can she get away with using DH's UPH to go to MK since he won't be going?

Nope all the tickets are non tranferable and for the sole use of the indivdual on the ticket. Be prepared for some very STRONG opionions on this .

Aren't the tickets scanned right into your room keys?

You would have to buy a single day ticket for her.

Don't they make you do a finger scan for tickets now to ensure that this doesn't happen?

Yes they are.

Not anymore, they only do this for AP members.

I might be alone in this - but I don't see a problem with it.

If the original owner of the UPH is NOT going to be at the park, but your sister will be there on his pass...I don't see the problem with the switch at all.

When I go to WDW with my fiance...our passes are both in HIS name. Yes, these are our room key/park passes and both say "Mr. John Smith"...there is no record of MY NAME on that pass.

Yes, this is bending the rules, but I honestly don't see issue with it.

Think I'll keep stinkerbelle (love that user name) company while she gets flamed because I completely agree with her. ~ :D ~

Oh boy, you guys are going to need some company so I guess I'll join you! Sort of...;)

Much like the tickets to MVMCP, they do say non-transferrable. However, I've never known WDW to care whatsoever if you give someone your ticket for that event.

We haven't had UPH's in a while since we switched to PAP's. If they no longer do the scan and there's nothing they do to insure the user of the pass is the person it was issued to, I would assume they don't care. I do know that if you tried to let someone else use a AP and you were caught, they can take your AP away from you forever! Personally, I wouldn't do it without checking first. I don't know enough about how they track passes and if it's a violation of their policies I wouldn't be willing to take the chance when it's not all that expensive to get a single day pass.

Still, I don't see the harm so I'd say it's your call. No harm, no foul.
:)

wow - thought I'd get my stinky stuff flamed outta here! :)

AP's are a horse of a different color - because of the scan on those - I would say they are non-transferrable.

what about when you hand your children their UPH's to get into the park...what if Jane uses John's? You see what I mean? There is no way to check.

You paid for that pass...and if the person who it "belongs" to won't be using it, I don't see a problem with someone else enjoying the magic for a day. :)

The only way you would run into a problem is if you tried to use it by more than 1 person in a day. Say, your Sis uses it in the morning and your brother wanted to use it at night. When they see it's already used that day, then can ask to see the handstamp the first person gets when exiting the park. The handstamps are to prevent the passes from being handed off in the same day. On different days, they have no way to know. The room keys are always in the name of the person whose name is on the reservation. So if you had a 12 person DVC grand villa, all 12 room keys would have the same name, not individual names.

And I think I will join you guys as well. I had the same exact question myself. My cousin is paying for our trip in October, he and his kids can only go for 4 days, but with the FTP I booked 7 nights because I can go for the full seven. I was thinking about asking a friend or someone to meet me for the 3 days that my cousins won't be there. I'm still trying to figure this one out.

And I say if it is possible, go for it.
