Have a stay at BCV coming up and thinking about tickets. We check in to a studio late late Sept 1. We switch to a 1bdrm on the 4th, checkout the 6th early. (we have 1 day left on a hopper i'd like to use on the 5th)

I wondered if they would they allow a UPH for only the studio portion, since we are technically checking out of the studio to check into the 1 bdrm they are separate stays?

But since i am checking in so late, how easily do they drop the first day? Not sure if this works out to any savings over a 4 day PHP from hotwiresavings anyway though. Trying to use what we have before buying an AP.

Hope that made sense. Any ticket math genius out there?:teacher:

The studio and 1BR reservations are separate reservations- so you can certainly get the UPH (with DVC discount) for either portion of the stay without problem.

DVC has usually been very good about allowing guests to drop first and/or last days from the pass. A 3 day/2 night UPH is currently $187.46 (tax included- w/o discount). With the DVC 10% discount the rate should be about $168.83 (tax included).

I'm sure you'll have no problem doing what you want. Just compare the rates. (The UPH will have admission to PI, DQ and water parks.)

Enjoy!

While Doc's post may work out to be reality, this is not what the rules state. The current member benefit guidebook info states the following:
“Entire length of stay” refers to the actual dates of the entire stay and not the length of a specific reservation.
However, previous versions have said:
"Entire length of stay" includes both the day of arrival and the day of departure. The length of stay refers to the actual dates of the entire stay and not the length of a specific reservation. For example, even if the stay combines different room types (a 7-day stay with the first 3 days in a Studio and the last 4 in a 1-bedroom vacation home), both reservation together would constitute a single stay and the unlimited magic Admission must be purchase for the entire 7 days of the stay. Additional, if the stay combines cash and Vacation Points reservations, both reservation together would constitute a single stay.
I don't think they enforce this or that they'd know, but these are the actual rules. And as noted they usually allow one to drop one or both days on the ends of the UMP.

Thank you, i respect both of you and your answers. It is about what i thought, there is a very good chance i can do what i want, but by the rules and depending on the CM i may not.

Think i will buy the PH as a backup so at least i don't get rooked at the gate, or go to Universal and Seaworld.

They certainly cover all their bases don't they. Maybe they'll institute the DVC discount on AP's everyone is hoping for before i go....uh huh not holding breathe.:faint:
