Upgrading???

I just got off the phone with Disney calling to upgrade my parents from the Quick service plan to the table service plan and I was told I can't upgrade? I booked our trips a few months ago and we have free dining.When we made our reservations we were told we can upgrade for I think $11 a day and now they say we can't. The woman on the phone said I had to do it before the free dining ended. Is that right? Did we miss out

I thought it wasn't right. I just figured she didnt know what she was talking about but wanted to be sure. Thanks for the help

The FD offer had different three letter codes corresponding to the dining plan offered or upgraded. Those codes do not show up now. It's not just a matter of applying a different dining plan and paying the difference. If the CM tries to do it the FD is lost since they can only book active codes.

Guest Services should be able to look up the proper old code and apply it, the normal CM's on the res line can't do the upgrade since the offer has expired and they can't access the old code. Call the res line and ask the CM to contact Guest Services for the dining upgrade.

Thanks for all the info. I called tonight and the amazing CM on the phone put me on hold while they talked to guest services and they upgraded me. I'm glad that's done

We had booked with free dining back in December with QS. I called a few weeks ago and was able to upgrade to DDP. They had to speak to guest services to upgrade but it can be done.
