Upgrading your dining plan a week before you arrive?...extra fee?

Hello fellow disers!...In passed years, my family has always upgraded our dining plan far ahead of arrival.

This year, my daughter is on a service trip to Ecuador, returning a week before our trip. Because of stomach issues that often result adjusting to third world conditions, I want to delay upgrading until she is back, and can tell that she can eat Feastlike!

What can I expect in the way of extra fees?...It used to be no extra fee to upsell, even within 45 days of your trip, but things have changed so much.

I would appreciate your recent experiences and thoughts!

There might be a $15 expedite fee within two weeks of arrival. The $50 change fee will be waived if the price of your package increases.

Thank you for this!...I know Disney trips are never a drop in the bucket, but $50. to pay an extra $600. would be a bit painful!
