Hi guys,

This summer, my family and I booked to go on a 2 week holiday to walt disney world florida. Unfortunately, my dad fell ill, and we therefore we had to cancel our holiday, and are now only able to rebook our holiday for summer 2009.

We had spent around £680 (around $1300) on park tickets for WDW, however, they expire on 31st December 2008 :(

I was just looking for some information about if there's anything i can do to "upgrade" my tickets to use them in 2009? We have phoned the operator from which we purchased the tickets, but we havent had much luck. They want us to return the tickets to them, where they will "try" and sell them on...

If anyone has any information which they think would help, pleeeeeease post it here. my family and I would be extremely greatful.

I also have 7 day flexitickets for universal, seaworld etc, and if anyone could offer similar information for these tickets, then again, i would be soooo greatful.

Thanks in advance,

Beth

PS - sorry if i have posted on the wrong board

Beth ~ Maybe we could help if we knew what kind of tickets they actually are...regular Park Hoppers, or something only available to residents of the UK? Have you tried emailing or calling Disney directly with your ticket numbers to see if there's anything they can do? I would think there would be once you explain the circumstances. Would you be able to obtain written verification that your dad was ill?

Also, you may need to edit your original post as offers to buy tickets are not allowed on the DISboards (and technically the tickets are considered non-transferable).

Good Luck!

Thanks Calypso for the "heads up" about editing my post! I wasn't thinking, but thanks for making me aware :)

My tickets are called 7 Day premium tickets. I think that entitles us to unlimited admission to the 4 main Disney Theme Parks (Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park) for 7 days, with the freedom to visit more than one park on the same day (Thats park hopper I presume). The days do not have to be used consecutively and the ticket expires 14 days after the date of first use of the Ticket and may not be used at all after January 14, 2009.

Plus, you are entitled to six additional admissions, which entitle you to visit your choice of the following:

• Blizzard Beach Water Park
• Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
• Pleasure Island in the Downtown Disney® area (only for visits on or before September 27, 2008)
• Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course (for visits on or after June 28, 2008; tee time reservations are required and subject to availability)
• DisneyQuest; Indoor Interactive Theme Park
•Disney’s Wide World Of Sports® Complex (valid only on event days; some events require an additional admission charge)

I don't these tickets are specifically for guests from the UK, but I could be mistaken...
I have managed to find a phone number for "Guest Services" (Disney UK), and I think I will contact them tomorrow. Are they the best people to phone, or is there a different department which would be better to phone.

I can also easily obtain written verification that my dad was ill too - we had to obtain it for the holiday insurers.
Again, thank you sooo much :)

Beth
