Upgrading UT tickets?

I have 3 day Disney park tickets which I purchased from Undercover Tourist. Now I am rethinking it and wondering if I might want a 4th day. Can I upgrade these to 4 day tickets paying only the difference in price (which I think is an extra $30 per ticket)? What way should I go about it if we decide to do this?

1. Yes.

2. USE your current tickets at least one time to go into a theme park.
Then, any time after that, go to any ticket booth or Guest Relations and they will
be able to upgrade at the difference price.

The price difference is exactly $31.95 per ticket, including tax.

Yes, but it's best if it's AFTER you go through the turnstile on your first day, and BEFORE your last day.

If you upgrade before you use the ticket, you will also pay the difference between the UT price and the full Disney price.

Please just make sure you upgrade the ticket before you leave on the last day of the ticket! Said the lady who learned a very hard lesson...

Can you please explain exactly what happened and in what order, and what kind of ticket that you had, and the date this happened.
(Please be as exact as possible.)

OK
In October 2013 we had 3 day tickets we had purchased through UT. On the third day we went to Epcot, we left the park, went swimming at BWV, went out to dinner, rode surrey bikes and then I remembered I did not upgrade the ticket. So I went to the concierge desk in the BWI lobby. 45 minutes and several cast members later they were able to get my ticket upgraded. The last CM told me they should have just told me to go back to Epcot it would have been faster there but once you have used your last day it takes all kinds of over rides in order to upgrade it in your hotel. Does that help @Robo ? I didn't mean to be vague or coy in my response!

Thanks. Those are the details I needed.

It's no longer that difficult with the advent of MDE and FP+.

Guests can upgrade as late as close-of-business on the same day as they use the last asset ("day") on their ticket.

Hate to hijack, but I also hate to start a new thread for almost the same question . . . . If I buy a 5 day base ticket from UT and later decide I want a hopper, can I make that upgrade after I use it too?

Yes. Cost will be $68.16 including tax.

Can a ticket be upgraded to Annual Pass?
Yes. Be sure to follow the above "use it once before upgrading" advice above for maximum savings. If you haven't bought the initial tickets yet, buy the ticket with the greatest savings available that is closest without going over the price of the AP you will ultimately want.
