Upgrading Used PP AP

This might be a strange question, but will try for an answer. I have only 1 month left on my Power Pass. We plan to go to US in a few weeks and I was thinking of upgrading to a preferred AP, mostly for the discounts, esp. since the FAN club no longer honors discounts on meals at city walk, as they've done in the past. Does anyone know if I pay the entire differrence between the 2 passes, or do I pay a pro-rated difference since my pass is 11 months old and the new pass will only have one month left on it?

not sure how Universal handles it but in Disney...you pay the entire difference...it isn't pro-rated. Are you going to renew your pass? If so, you should be able to upgrade at that point and pay the full difference....but I cannot say for sure.... why don't you call the 800 number on the pass????
