Upgrading UPH's at check-in?

I have a friend who is going to DW in 2 weeks for a company trip...the company is picking up the tab and making the arrangements for hotel, flights and park tickets for everyone. We feel sure the company is going to get UPH's for 4 days for all...but my friend is planning on staying 3 more days on her own dime. We were wondering if she could upgrade her UPH at check-in to a 7 day?? Wonder how much that would cost? Are the additional days added to UPH's discounted at all or is it a straight X amount per day added?

I was thinking she could do this at the front desk of whatever resort they're staying at (no info yet from the company, but still trying to plan ahead). Any thoughts?

Ok, so she'll have to get a separate ticket...

Can she do that at check-in or should she order that in advance? I'm afraid she may not get it in time, since she leaves in 2 weeks.

Sometimes companies get special ticket promotions for their trips/conferences. She might not be getting UPHs. Has she asked whoever is doing the arrangements about the ticket media ? -HM

UPH's are not sent to you like other park tickets are. UPH's don't really exist until they are encoded onto the resort ID at check in. If your friend orders her UPH now it will be added to her resort UD when she checks in for her own reservation following the company one. There are no worries about it not arriving before she leaves.

So does that mean UPHs can't be upgraded to APs? We usually buy APs, but we didn't renew them this year b/c I was pregnant and we knew we wouldn't get there before they expired. We were planning on buying new ones in Jan., but with FTP being such a great deal, we decided to go with that in October. Now we are thinking of going next June, too. I was kind of hoping I could upgrade.

Thanks for any info!

If the UPH's are part of a package like Dream Maker or FairyTale Magic you cannot upgrade them. If they were purchased at the resort check in or if they were added to a room only reservation in advance then those UPH's can be upgraded.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling we wouldn't be able to upgrade. Just wishful thinking on my part!
