If we purchase our tix from undercover tourist, and decide to upgrade to park-hoppers on site will we simply pay the park-hoppers extra fee, or will also lose the discount we got by purchasing them through UC?

Thanks in advance!

They have to do a manual process to keep the discount. It's called price bridging.

Know what your upgrade should cost. (It should be the difference between what you're upgrading to and the current at the gate cost of the type of ticket you have). If they come up with something more, ask if they have bridged the price. If they don't know how, get a manager.

Some cms are better than others, so know your numbers. :)

Park hopper is one set fee-- there is no bridging the tickets is there? Its 64.00 for the entire ticket

Now, you're confusing issues.

The process of "bridging" is done to bring the value of discounted park tickets up to the current cost of full-price tickets a the WDW gates so that guests don't have to pay the extra cost.
Yes, it will cost $64 (plus tax) to add the hopper to many multi-day tickets,) but if it was not for "price bridging" done by the ticket CM, the guest WOULD have to pay the $64, PLUS the difference between what was paid by UT to Disney (the wholesale price) and the current gate price.

I was just asking this same thing today. Then I did some research and found another site: Park Savers (recommended on here by quite a few dissers) and they have a good deal for 7 days (not sure how many days you are buying), and it's only $25 more for a park hopper compared to UCT non park hopper. Still not 100% sure what we will do as our plans at this point do not include park hopping, but I think we are leaning toward the 370.98 park hoppers.

Just to make sure we are comparing the right tickets, any MYW ticket that has the Water Park and More option, can be upgraded to Park Hopper for just $25.

I didn't see that she had/wanted the water parks and more tix? I am strictly comparing UCT base tix to Park Savers base + hopper. No water parks and more options on either. 7 day UCT base 345.95, 7 day Park Savers base + hopper 370.98.

You receive vouchers from Park Savers, as well as them being limited use tickets and having expiration dates. I'll spend the extra $25 at UCT to receive actual tickets I can use anytime.

Well, we plan to use them in June and the expiration isn't until Dec 2018. However, besides the vouchers you get the codes to link them in MDE within 72 hours and once there they can be saved to use down the road. Honestly it's a personal preference, but totally worth it to me. And the UCT tix are $407.95 for base + park hopper, which is $37 more than PS. If you buy the UCT base at 345.95 and upgrade at Disney, it will be around $413 so that's actually $43 more than PS.

On their page, they say tickets must be used by the end of December 2016 (during the order process, you have to pick when the first use day will be) and later they say they have to be used by 2018. Having conflicting information automatically crosses them off my list, not to mention you only receive a voucher and they have a limited time use window.

What if you bought a ticket from Undercover Tourist and wanted to add a day, is that the same thing? Will they just charge you their cost to add one more day say from a 7 day PH to an 8 day PH? Can you even add a day to a pass not purchased through Disney?

1. You can add a day to an UT ticket.
2. If you USE the UT to enter a Theme Park BEFORE doing the upgrade, adding an 8th day to a 7 day ticket will cost $10.65.
3. Yup. But, be sure to USE the ticket to enter a Theme Park BEFORE doing the upgrade.

I've done the research and the Dec 2016 date applies to the voucher. You have to either exchange the voucher or enter the numbers into MDE by Dec 2016. The date you enter as far as "first date use" really doesn't matter if you are entering the codes into MDE. Just do the research. I certainly wouldn't automatically cross something off my list until I found out more about it. But again, that's a personal preference.
