Upgrading to parkhoppers and reservations

A friend of mine has decided to join us last minute. We have parkhoppers and are planning to start in DCA on October 13th and Disneyland on October 15th. If she buys a parkhopper, she can only make a reservation for DCA on the 15th. If she buys regular tickets, it's the opposite -- she can only make a reservation for Disneyland that day. Do you think she could buy single-park tickets, make her reservations, then upgrade to a parkhopper on our first day?

If she buys a parkhopper, she can only make a reservation for DCA on the 15th.

I believe if you can reserve parkhoppers that is listing the starting park when making reservations so I think she’d be ok to reserve that if she doesn’t need to be in DL before 1pm

It worked out -- by the time she bought her ticket the 15th had opened for both parks again. Whew.
