We received our park hoppers from UCT. :woohoo: We are planning on upgrading to the AP while we are on vacation in January. I think we can turn in our hoppers and get APs at any guest relations location. Is this correct so far?

Secondly, we want to upgrade to APs but use our DVC discount. Is there a specific GR window we need to go to, or will they all be able to process this? All we need is ID and our blue DVC card?

Lastly, our AP will have an expiration of the first day we used our park hoppers for the first time, right? Thanks to anyone who can clarify!! :thumbsup2

Yes, any window at guest relations can do the upgrade for the DVC discount. Yes, all you need is your ID plus blue dvc card. Yes, it will have the exp. date from the time you use the pass first.

You need to read the thread on upgrading from a ticket to a AP. To get the best discount, you need to use your ticket for one day before you upgrade.

I will go and look for this thread. I knew we needed to "use" it first, but do we have to wait a whole day (as in upgrade on day 2) or at least go through the turnstiles once on Day 1 before upgrading?

Just through the turnstiles is good enough - it doesn't have to be on a later day when you do the upgrade. We did it twice (two years in a row I mean) -- just on our way out of the park that day.
