Upgrading to CBR - Question about Rooms

We are going to change our October Pop reservations to CBR (after much deliberation). Now we're trying to decide if we upgrade to a Waterview or King room.

Question 1: Can we even get a King room if there are 3 in our party (DH, DD5 and me)? I didn't know if Disney would allow this as there will be 3 in our party, but we do at other hotels as DD doesn't like to sleep alone when we're away from home.

Question 2: If we are allowed a King room can you request a lakeview? Or is your money to upgrade to a King room only allow you a King bed and not a view?

Question 3: If we can't get a King is it worth it to upgrade to a lakeview? After looking at the map on Safety Mom's website we would like to request a room in either Aruba or Jamaica and thought the lakeview would be cool as opposed to a parking lot view. Is the parking lot very visible from those 'islands' of CBR?

We don't care about having a preferred room as much as we do being off the beaten-path a little.
Also, do you know in what 'island" order the buses run, or is just random?
Any insight you can give is much appreciated.
Thanks for your help! :)

I can answer part of your question. A party of 3 cannot book a King room, so you will have to get the standard room.

No you can't book a king room with 3 people. You can if the child is under 3. Personally paying extra for a water view isn't worth it. It's hard to see the water from your room and some rooms just overlook the quiet pool.

Its great to get a courtyard view. That is by request.

It depends on what park you are going to which stop is first with the bus.

Just wanted to say that you'll love CBR!!

IMO, you made a good switch, from POP to CBR....we used to stay at POP, then tried CBR. DH loved that trip so much, that we joined DVC!! Have fun!

Definitely want Jamaica or Aruba. They are the first to get on the bus in the morning and first off in the evening. Carry a flash light for the walk to the food court though because the walkways across the lake are not lit too well. My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon and 1 year anniversary at CBR. We stayed in Jamaica both times.

I wouldn't worry about getting a parking lot view. I don't think there are any bad views at CBR. Even the parking lots have lots of trees and shrubbery so it is very lush and tropical everywhere. We've had both standard and waterview rooms - had a secluded little courtyard right outside our door the first trip and the beach and playground right outside our door on the next trip. I thought one was just as nice as the other.

Thanks for the replies everyone. :thumbsup2 My AAA travel agent just emailed my confirmation for CBR. I requested a courtyard view in either Jamaica or Aruba. I hope we get it, but will still be excited to be there even if we don't.
Now, just need to change my signature....
