We just returned and had such a great time everyone wants to go back next year. For this trip we all had "2-Day Universal Park-to-Park Ticket - plus extra day free - ADULT" purchased from UT. We used them from July 15th through July 17th. I believe they expire 13 days after the first use. Is it too late to upgrade them to a AP pass?

Generally tickets expire in a certain amount of time or when you've used all the entitlements, whichever comes first. So I think it was too late the moment you left the park after your 3rd day.

We didn't budget to upgrade for our first trip. We had budgeted to upgrade for WDW, but not Uni. So when we went back inside of a year we had to pay again for tickets. Sigh.

Well I guess we missed it this time but still have a whole year to plan for another visit! Can't wait to go back next year even if we do have to pay a few extra dollars for passes! Thanks.

13 days after first use would have been passed already too. However, you can always give guest services a call and see what they say!
