Upgrading to AP on Day one

Hi Everyone,

I have a few questions and tried searching but was not able to find the exact Q&A.

Our room/ticket package is not booked with dining or any room discount....AHHH Yes all rack rate! Our room option and resort did not have any inventory for any of the discounts.

If I upgrade to AP on day one, can I apply/adjust the AP discount to the rest of my hotel nights and get a refund?

We already have dining booked at Cinderella Royal Table, obviously pre-paid, will I be able to receive the 10% discount in a refund as well? This reservation is on our last day, so I was thinking I could call and adjust this but looking for opinions.

We also have a dessert party booked mid-trip, do you think I could also call for a 10% passholder refund on this as well?

Just looking at the best way to take advantage of all the perks on day one :)

Cant address the ADRs but your first step with the hotel reservation is to first determine if there are any AP discounts in inventory for you resort/dates. It might all be a moot point. (anyone here with an AP can look it up for you)

Second, if there is an AP discount available, call and re-book your trip under the AP discount because if you wait until travel, it will likely be gone anyway.

Unless something has changed, you can use the AP discount if you are upgrading during your trip or buying an AP during your trip. We did this once and we were told we had to show our AP at the front desk at or after check in. We were never actually asked to show it but the AP discount was honored.

1. It is highly doubtful that there would be an "AP rate" available, especially by the day that you check in.
AP discounts for rooms is not an ongoing thing (like AP discounts for events.)
When there IS an AP discount for rooms, it is announced in advance, is for a limited time, and
is only available for a limited number of rooms (which tend to sell out quickly.)
You certainly CAN book (an announced) AP discounted room even if you do not already have
an AP certificate. Then, buy the AP to activate during your trip.

2. & 3. That is a possibility.

I thought #1 was a long shot but will definitely call for the ADR's.
 

#1 - Call reservations now and see if there is an AP discount available for your room and dates. If there is, they can change your reservation to an AP discount and you just need to show your AP once you are onsite

#2 - you'll need an AP now or a voucher for them to apply your discount now. But, you can show your AP when you dine at CRT and they will refund your credit card.

#3 - There is no AP discount for dessert parties.
