upgrading to AP from Disney Package want to purchase DDE..how do I do this?

I have a package booked with Disney. Once I get there I want to upgrade one of my 10 day park admissions to an AP. I also would like to then buy a DDE card. I need to pay some meals oop. So running the number I think it'll be worth my money. Since I need an AP to buy the DDE how do I do this since I'm supposed to order the DDE weeks in advance?

Someone please help.

Couldn't you cancel the 10 day pass and just purchase the DDP by itself. Order the AP online and once you recieve it, order the DDE online as well?

Go here. It has all the information you need about the DDE. Under "Membership and card information" see the "note" about how to get the card once you've already arrived.

Unless your OOP meals are going to exceed $300.00 (and with the $300 you are just breaking even) with the DDP IMHO I don't see it to be worth it.

To do this you would need to get your ticket and take it to guest relatiohions to upgrade from whatever you have to an AP. Once you have the AP you can call disney dinning to get a DDE.

However, if you are on the dining plan you need to work out if it is worthwhile getting the DDE.

thanks everybody. I'm on a free dining package so I can't cancel only one 10 day pass. I guess that I'll have to go to Disney and then upgrade to an AP and then call to buy the DDE. Where would I get the letter stating that I am a DDE cardholder? Can concierge at the hotel take care of all this for me? I am staying at All Star Movies. We're treating another family to character dinner and possibly breakfast because we're celebrating DD birthday and we're buying cakes...so I think I will spend over $200
