Upgrading tix to AP question

Hello,

I purchased base tix for my two kids for an upcoming trip (Jan 13-15); however, we have since planned another trip for this year, such that it makes more sense to get the APs for them. I'd like to take advantage of the current DVC AP offer, so need to purchase by 1/3, but we won't be in the parks until 1/13--is Member Services able to upgrade tix by phone, or am I going to just have to sock those already-purchased tix away for a rainy day, and buy the APs outright?

How did you purchase the original tickets; from who? If you purchased directly and separately from Disney, yiu may be able to call ticketing and have them refund that purchase and sell you the discounted AP.

If you purchased them as part of a package or from a third party, you can only upgrade in person.

In case others are curious, supersnoop was right on target--I was able to do this by calling ticketing. They were able to upgrade to the DVC pass offer, and just credited me the amount I had already paid for my kids' tickets. Easy peasy! The only thing they needed was my confirmation from the original purchase, along with my name and address.
