Upgrading Tickets??

I purchased a package with Costco Travel (my pay in full date is not until May). I am assuming I will not get the tickets until I pay in full (or anything else for that matter). Anyhow, we will be in the area a day earlier than expected, so I was thinking of adding one day to the passes (it would just be a couple hours, bt if the price is right maybe we can have a calm dinner in the parks, but we still want to get to bed early). We currently have 5 day park hoppers. . . . so my questions:

1. How much would a 5 day to 6 day upgrade cost per person?

2. How do you add an extra day? Do you have to do it in person, or can you call ahead? Should I do it through Costco or Disney? Help, please :)

If you are sure you want to change to 6 day, you could call and ask if there is a charge (other then the additional cost) to change. If not, go ahead and have them do it. If they want to charge you a "change fee" then just get your 5 day hoppers you have coming. The additional charge should be $10 per day, per ticket. If they are going to charge you the change fee, just take your ticket to the Disney travel office in DTD and have them add a day on. You'll want to go before the end of the 5 day of use. Once day 5 is over, its too late to add on. The travel office is at the end of DTD, turn left at compass books. They are open daily until 5 pm.

We have a trip booked through Costco too. The number they give you to call with questions is actually Disney. :) Even though the info they will send you (an invoice) says that there is a $25 fee for any change, when I called with two changes (dropped dining plan and changed hotels), the guy who took my call was sweet and didn't charge. It was even better because I *expected* a charge of $50 (two changes). I don't know if that's usual, but I do recommend expecting to be charged for a change, b/c that's what their info says!

As for the ticket change...assuming you call the number and they want to charge the change fee...I'd probably see if you could change it once you're there. We're planning on upgrading the tix to APs while we're there, so I imagine you could upgrade to one day longer...

I'd just change it there, if I were you. That's what I plan on doing, when I go in two weeks. We'll be there over a blackout weekend, and I'll be upgrading to an AP AFTER the blackout day.
