I am sure this has been covered before. I am so sorry to ask again, but I can't find the answer and I have three antsy kids sitting next to me. We purchased three day hoppers for DH and I through getawaytoday for $159 a person and want to upgrade to Deluxe AP's when we are there. How do we go about doing this? And how much will we pay? The difference between $259 and $159 or $259 and $179 (gate price for 3 day hopper). DD's AP doesn't expire until Feb so she is covered and the other two are under age
2. Thanks for your help.

Call getawaytoday, and ask if they can tell you the upgrade value of the tickets. I was able to get this info from Costco Travel, so I imagine getawaytoday can tell you.

In our case, our 5 day hoppers had a value of 189 each for the adults (which was the pre-purchase price), and 159 (I think) for our 3 year old. Turns out we managed to upgrade 2 days before the price increase, so we paid the difference between those totaled and 239 x 3.

If you're staying off-site, you'll want to use your EE first (unless you got the 2 EE deal from getawaytoday, in case case I don't know the specifics of using those) and then upgrade. When it's time to upgrade, you go to the "bank" which is after the tunnel on the right after the entrance. Just look slightly to your right as you exit that tunnel, and you'll see the signs. There should be a CM directing the line. You go in, give them info on each person, pay, have each person photographed (DS could even stay in his stroller for the picture!), and you get the APs! Very easy.

And then you get the 10% off food for quite a few food places for the rest of your stay. :)

For anyone thinking of upgrading who has NOT yet bought hoppers...knowing you will upgrade is NOT the time to find a deal on a ticket. Unless you only have that amount now, but will have more later, I think it's better to pay more "now", then pay less at the upgrade!

When we upgraded we actually went to the ticket window outside of DL. We had actually already used all of our 4 days and didn't realize you were supposed to do it on the 4th day. And we were trying to surprise the kids (who were with their Father the day we upgraded). Anyway, we took our 4 day passes to the ticket window and a very helpful CM upgraded us. :) Then DBF and I went inside and got our pics done at the bank, we took the girls in on Sunday and got theirs and they were surprised! LOL We did get credit for our park hoppers, they had to do some research though because normally it says how much you pay on the back of the ticket but since we had plastic (credit card style) tickets it wasn't on there. We ended up paying $270 to upgrade our 4 day PH's to AP's!! Not a bad deal IMO!

Oh, you did it AFTER the hoppers were used? Wow, I'm impressed they did it!

FWIW, and for anyone worried, our hoppers were plastic/cc-style, and all they had to do was scan the tickets and the value came right up on their computers. BUT ours were only on their 2nd of 5 days, so maybe that's the difference.

Yes, she let us do it at the window. They were able to scan the cards that were for the 11 and olders in the party, it was the ticket for the 7 yo that was causing issues.....for some reason it wasn't telling her how much we had paid for it and I couldn't remember. And yes, it was Friday after we used the last day on Thursday. She did tell me that she wasn't "supposed" to do it but that she could and she was more than willing.

That was very nice. :) Yay!

Thanks for asking this, I'll be upgrading my tickets in November after I use EE and wasnt really sure how it worked either.
Do they ever question your reasoning for upgrading? The only reason we bought hoppers first was for EE and we'll be getting them upgraded to APs our first day there, if they ask and we tell them this will they be like, oh that's not how it works we wont' upgrade you or am I being paranoid?

She actually did ask why we were upgrading. We told her we were having so much fun that we really wanted to be able to come back as often as possible during the year. And when she figured out the difference she said "well, this is a good reason to upgrade!!" LOL
