My DVC membership doesn't start until December (or should I say that I have no points until December - I'm a member now!! 
) . Anyway, I'm going to the WL in August on the free dining plan. To take advantage of the free dining you have to buy a WDW package including tickets. Initially, I bought 7 day hopper passes for all 4 of us, but I've amended those to simple 1 day base tickets as I plan to buy APs with my DVC discount.
What I'm wondering is whether I'll be able to upgrade my 1 day base tickets to APs, prior to their use. I know as a general principle you can, but is there something in the small print of buying a package with free dining that prevents this?
