Upgrading tickets to an AP?

My family of 6 currently has 4 non-expiring park hopper days with 6 "plusses" left over from our trip in February. We have another trip planned for September for which we included 1-day tix for everyone in order to qualify for the free dining. Upon arrival, can we upgrade these to an AP? If so, how would it work for my 9 year old as she will be turning 10 later in September - would I get her an adult or child AP?

You can apply your one-day base passes toward your APs, or you can apply your remaining old hoppers toward your APs but if all that's left on the hoppers is the plus features and Guest Services allowed this upgrade, you'd get even less value from those tickets than from the one-day passes; i.e. the trade-in value of JUST the plus features is negligible.
You would get the appropriate-at-the-time-of-purchase AP for your daughter. If she's 9 when you buy the AP, you buy the 3 - 9 one; if she's ten; you buy the 10+ one.

If all that's left on the original tickets are the plusses, you can't get any kind of credit for them anyway. Although the money paid for the options is factored into dollar credits, the plus admissions themselves are worthless for getting credit back.

Oops - need to clarify. We each still have 4 park hopping days in addition to the "plusses". Now what's the answer?

You can receive a dollar credit for your admission then - however, as another poster mentioned, you won't get much money for it. Each day on a multi-day ticket is not created equal. The first days on the ticket are worth a lot of money, and each additional day is worth less and less.

I would save the admissions for a later trip and buy an annual pass flat out not.
