I have one day left on a 10 day park hopper no expiration ticket. I also have two single one day tickets(these are park hopper passes) for the four of us that I have bought at charity events. So basically I have three days of tickets for the four of us.

My question is can I combine these tickets so that I have a three day ticket for each of us and then upgrade back up to a ten day ticket with no expiration? Or am I going to have to pay the no expiration fee again? Also when you do this are you paying for the difference from what a three day pass would be to what a ten day pass is?

I am trying not to be confusing but also I want to get the best price on our tickets when I go back in December.:goodvibes

You cannot combine multiple tickets together to create a single new ticket.

You cannot upgrade a ticket that was FIRST USED over 14 days in the past.

You can upgrade a single ticket to up to a total of 10 days, non-expiring, but
only on a one-to-one basis.
(But the KIND of ticket is relevant to this answer. See my post #11 below.)

Your current 10-day ticket with one day left will not figure into this in any way.

Can you explain this part to me? Will I really be saving enough for the hassle or is this something easy to do?

If I am understanding part of your answer, I can take one of our park hopper tickets that have not been used and upgrade them...correct? BUT I will have to use the other tickets separately on a single use basis and the no expiration can not be upgraded because it has been over 14 days?

One for one -- You can take one Magic Your Way ticket not used more than 13 days ago, add cash (or use credit card etc), and come up with one upgraded ticket. Then you can take another ticket and (repeat the process).

Pay the non-expiration fee again -- Not exactly but you could say it is prorated. Specifically, each non-expiring day (day added to a non-expiring ticket) costs more (averages $35. apiece) than a day added to an expiring ticket. In other words, adding two days to a 4 day NE costs the difference between a 6 day NE and (what you had,) a 4 day NE.

You can upgrade as many individual tickets as you like.
If you have 2 unused tickets, you can upgrade EACH of them.
If you have 5 unused tickets, you can upgrade EACH of them.
If you have 12 unused tickets, you can upgrade EACH of them.

(But the KIND of ticket you have is relevant to this answer. See my post #11 below.)

Regardless, you cannot COMBINE multiple tickets TOGETHER to make a single new ticket.

And, if you have a (Magic Your Way, Non-Florida Resident) ticket that is partially used, and that ticket was FIRST used 14 or more days ago (even if it is a non-expiring ticket...) you cannot upgrade it at all.

I believe the park hopper option is a flat fee regardless of the ticket length (it costs the same to add this to a one day ticket or a seven day ticket). Therefore you have value there that makes sense to upgrade those tickets. I am not sure how they would do that on the 10 day ticket. I suspect they would prorate the park hopper fee. On the one day tickets, you have 100% of the ticket value remaining so it would cost nothing for the park hopper on additional days.

1- I am not sure how they would do that on the 10 day ticket.
2- I suspect they would prorate the park hopper fee.

1- The 10 day non-expiring ticket with one day remaining is not upgradeable,
since it has been over 14 days since it was first used.
It cannot be altered, added-to, or traded-in.
It can only be used at a WDW park for one more day's admission.

2-There would be no "prorating" of park hopper fees based on how much of a ticket is or is not used.

I also have two single one day tickets (these are park hopper passes) for the four of us that I have bought at charity events....can I combine these tickets.

The "unknown" of this is if these "charity event" tickets are regular MYW tickets, or special tickets (such as "complimentary" tickets.)

If they are not regular MYW tickets, it may be that they can not be upgraded at all. They might be only useable as a single day's hopper admission.

Without further info on the specific kind of tickets the OP has, the answer as to upgradeability is uncertain.

You know Robo you are making more sense to me the more I read your post. The tickets that I bought at the charity events I do believe are complimentary park hopper tickets. Its all good though. I got both sets at a great deal and the money went to charity at that. It was just a thought. For some reason I like having the tickets handy. For instance we were somewhat in the area in January (Tampa) and made a one day trip.

I dont need the tickets for our next trip as it will only be a couple of days at the parks before our cruise. I just thought if it could be done I would do it then.
Thanks for all of your help!

I think I will chime in here.

Minnie, I would suggest you follow the link in my signature to the Everything About WDW Tickets locked sticky in this forum and read Post #6 which concerns upgrades closely. That should explain everything. And looking at Post #2 also would not hurt.
