Upgrading ticket... Twice?

quick question-- can you upgrade your ticket twice?

For example, if you have a 5 day park hopper, and wanted to get a day in at the water parks ($29 extra), so you upgrade once.

However, after going to the water park, can you decide to have a second upgrade to a gold AP?

Because APs do not include water parks, and my park hoppers do not have water parks, I was wondering if, by going this route, we can hit the water parks once before upgrading to an AP. However, we would need to upgrade twice-- first to a water park ticket first then to an AP.

Is this possible?

Disney could have changed their policies but from what I have read previously if you have water parks and more feature and use any entitlements you are only allowed to upgrade to an annual pass that includes water park access (which the DVC gold does not)
ETA you can upgrade a ticket twice though-we upgraded a park hopper to the DVC annual pass last May and then I upgraded the DVC AP to the DVC gold pass in Oct (to get the photopass access)

I upgraded 2 base tickets to park hoppers and then to DVC gold passes with no issues.

PP is correct. If you upgrade your park hopper to include the water park option and then use a day at a water park, you must upgrade to an AP with water parks.

Might be cheaper to upgrade your park hopper to a base AP and then buy a separate water park ticket that is around $50. You would have to do the math and figure out your best option :)

I was thinking the same thing-a 1 day ticket would be cheaper (esp with the slight DVC discount) or if he OP thinks she might go back the water park AP and gold pass is cheaper than the AP with water park access (since it also has no block out dates)
