I'm visiting Orlando in late November/early December and have purchased tickets for my family already. I'm hoping to upgrade our tickets to a season pass to cover our trip next year too. I've just been looking at the blackout dates and the first two days of our trip are during the blackout dates.

If I wait go to guest services until 12/02 to upgrade will I be allowed to upgrade to just the season pass? Or will they see I used my regular tickets during the blackout dates so only let me upgrade to the power pass?

I can't decide whether to risk it and potentially pay the extra for the power pass, or reshuffle our plans a little so we're not going to the parks til 01/12 onwards.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

This dp is older but in 2022 I did the same thing. I bought tickets from a 3rd party. 4 day park tickets and the first 2 days I used them were blackout days. I had no problem upgrading them to an annual seasonal pass - the cheapest one- on the 3rd day that was not a blackout day. I even got a refund in the form of a gift card!
