Upgrading ticket question

Asking for a friend. She purchased one day tickets. Can she upgrade the day of at the park? Will she be able to take advantage of monthly pay at that time using the one day ticket as the downpayment? Thanks.

She can use the tickets to upgrade to other tickets and even an annual pass but she can't use the ticket for any Flex-pay annual passes. So the ticket cannot be used as a down-payment.
