upgrading ticket question

If I prepurchase a 3 day park hopper at the prepurchase price, then while at the parks decide to upgrade to a 5 day park hopper pass, would I pay the difference of the prepurchase 5 day price or the ticket booth 5 day price?
Does my question make sense??

You will pay the difference between what you paid and what the full price of the upgraded ticket is.

There is a barcode on the back of the ticket that shows the CM what you paid.\

So in your case it will be the difference between the advanced purchase price and the ticket booth 5 day ticket price.

When I went in 2005, I purchased a package from AAA, and we got 3 day hoppers. I then wanted to add a day, and was directed to Disney Travel Company, in DTD, where they charged me $10 per person and added a day somehow. The next day, I decided to add one more day, just for me to go in, as my big boys were at ESPN Zone, and again it was $10.

Nobody else has ever confirmed this experience.

In 2007, I bought citypass tickets at Costco, and never could figure out how much it would be to upgrade the 3 day hopper to add another day. I called, and they were pretty clueless. Then when we were there, the weather was cold, hubby was sick, kid was sick, etc. so I never did try to add a day.

You would have to pay the difference between the price you paid and the price for the 5 day you would pay at the park (not the pre-purchase price) if you do decide to add extra days, make sure you do so BEFORE your tickets are expired.

Thanks everyone. I think I will just make the decsion ahead of time and get the longer pass for just a few dollars more than want more and have to shell out twice the price then if I had made up my mind in the begining.
