I'm sorry if this has been asked before :rolleyes1 but I have a question to ask.

We are planning a trip back to the world the first part of 2007. We will be buying a package since we want the dining plan. Doing this, will require us to purchase a 1 day base ticket, at least. My question is this:

Can we use the 1 day base ticket and upgrade to 10 day non expiring hoppers once we get there? What if we have 4 days left on our non expiry hopper passes from our 2005 trip? Can we use those and upgrade to another 10day nonexpiry hopper pass or not?

I'm not sure how to do it as we will have 2 children with 4 days left on their hopper passes (non expiry), 2 children who will have no tickets, and two adults who will have no tickets. When we purchase the package, we'll each have to get the 1 day base ticket.

How would you handle it??

Yes, just go to Guest Services at your hotel or any park. You will pay the difference between the value of your 1-day base tickets and the gate price of 10-day hopper (no-expiry).

You can apply the dollar value of those passes to the purchase of a 10-day pass, this but it would not be very economical. Once a pass is more than 14-days beyond its first day of use, you can no longer "upgrade" it. You can only apply the "dollar value" of the remaining days towards the purchase of a new ticket. Calculating the value of those days is somewhat complex, since Disney frontloads the most value into the first couple of days, with each sucessive day being valued less. So, those remaining 4 days of your tickets from 2005 may be only worth a few dollars. You would be better off using those tickets for admission and then buying another ticket for the remaining days of your trip.

If you're purchasing the no-expiry for the 10-day passes, I'm assuming that you won't be going into the parks for 10 days on this next trip. Am I right? How many days will you actually be using? 4? 5? 6? Knowing how you plan to spend your days this next trip will help determine what you need to buy.

Thank you so much for your help with the upgrading procedures! I really appreciate it!! I will now wait and see how many days we plan to be at the parks and go from there!! I really appreciate it!

Does anyone know if you can upgrade unused Park Hoppers (NOT MYW with hopper add on) to APs?
