Question. My brother wants to take his wife and kids (4 and 7, first visit for the kids) during free dining. His wife has an unused non-expiratory ticket from a long-ago visit for 6 day PH. I am aware that everyone in the party must purchase the same package. My questions are these:

If everyone gets the base ticket, can three of the people in the party upgrade to PH at check in, and how much does that cost?

How much woudl they be "wasting" by not using the 6 day base ticket?

Should she just hang on to the ticket she has and use it some other time and everyone just book the deal with the Park hopper? (That's what I think)

AND what is this years' price for the Dining Package?

Thanks so much!

Everyone's gotta buy the same ticket and length of ticket.

I'd say save that ticket for another trip. Otherwise it becomes a mess to deal with.

But if she insists..

Everyone in the room gets a one day base ticket .. and then upon check-in they upgrade three of those to 6 day park hoppers...

This will leave a single one day base ticket to be used another time.

Personally.. that's a lot of messing around with tickets.
