Upgrading PH to add more days, best timing?

We are thinking of adding at least 1 more day to our 3 day bonus park hopper tickets (149 per ticket), can we wait until the last day is being used, and then upgrade at the end of that day? Or can you only add extra days if there is at least one full unused day at the end of your ticket?

We may accomplish everything we want to and not NEED to add another day ... so I would rather not pay for it until we know for sure what we will need :-) Would prefer to upgrade close to the end of our last day. Thank you! :thumbsup2

You can add a day at anytime before the end of your last day. BUT you will pay the difference between the price you paid for your ticket ($149) and the ticket booth price of a 4 day PH ($229). I would try to exchange your tickets for 4 day promo tickets before you go.

Yikes! In that case, if you find that you need an extra day, you're better off buying a one-day ticket for $72 than upgrading for $80 bucks! The 4-day promo is only $161, so for $12 more you get an extra day, almost worth buying even if you don't use it. In the past, I bought 2-day hoppers online but realized I wanted 3-days instead. I contacted DL and even though the website says that tickets are non-refundable, since I was adding days instead of taking away, they were very nice and refunded my original purchase and gave me the new hoppers instead online. Hopefully they could do the same for you!

Thanks! We are here already, so not much reaction time. I called Disney's ticket office and they said that the ticket booths *might* upgrade to the promo price (they said that when we told them the price of our ticket). Which also means "might not". LOL! It must depend on the cast member? Weird. Will post once we give it a shot. :upsidedow

Translation: No, but if you get lucky, there might be a supervisor willing to make an exception. :goodvibes

Good luck! It never hurts to ask.

Only if you don't want to park hop that last day. $72 is for a 1 park ticket. But YES, it makes sense to pay the extra $12 even for a partial day or "maybe".
