My DH has a 7 day base ticket, with no expiration. Can we upgrade this when we are there, to an 8 day pass? If so, do we pay the extra $45 no expiration fee as well as the few dollars difference between the 7 and 8 day passes?

If all you want is to add a day, it costs just a few dollars. You pay for no exp. only if you ask for it.

We upgraded our 7day adult basic MYW ticket to a 10 day no exp and it cost us 232.oo for both of them. No exp costs 100.00 per ticket. It still came out cheaper to do this than to buy new 5day basic MYW tickets. Now we can go again some time soon!!!

No expiration isn't per day, it's per ticket. Therefore, no exp. 7 day and no exp 8 day is about a $3 difference.

I'd like to ask a similar question. I have 7-day, no-expiration, hoppers. How much will it cost to add 3 more days?

Bring your tickets to Guest Relations and they will be able to tell you exactly what can be done to convert your tickets to what you would like. If you have old tickets, they can advise you in that capacity, as well. It is not always the best bet to take older tickets and make them into new ones, as you will loose much of their value. Because we are dealing with new tickets, that only started this year, a standard answer is really not advisable over the phone or online, so bring them in, and get the best thing for you money!

You can go to the disney site, select ticket only, and see the differnce between what you have and what you want. 3 more days will probably be about $9 extra

I have MYW tickets purchased this year. Thanks for the suggestion of checking the Disney site. I'd like to have an idea of the additional cost before we get to Florida.

You can add days. BUT... do it before you go to get the advanced purchase price. Otherwise, you have to pay the difference between what you paid, and the gate price if you do it at WDW. We added 2 extra days for only a couple dollars per ticket. If I had waited to do it at the hotel it would have been over $10 per ticket.

1.) This can't be done. Upgrades can only be processed on Disney World property.

2.) Even if it could - unfortunately, there's no advance purchase break on base tickets - even if they carry the non-expiration option.

What should happen in this instance is you should pay about a $50 difference. But as has been said - there's really no way to guarantee that amount. Only Guest Relations can give you a specific amount.

Upgrading a 7 day non-expiring ticket to 8 days is highly not recommended without also adding the 9'th and 10'th days. The 8'th day will cost you about $51. and the 9'th and 10'th days will cost you about four dollars each.

Also, if your vacation will have 9, 10, (also 8) days in the theme parks, seriously consider saving aside the non-expiring pass and buying an expiring pass for immediate use. At the end of your vacation, the real cost of non-expiration applies just to the few days that remain. Example, non-expiration costs $107. for a 10 day pass. If only one day remains after the first vacation, that last day has an effective investment of the entire $107. (less if there are leftover plusses as well).

The prices to upgrade are currently the same at Guest Services at WDW regardless of whether the ticket was bought at an advance discount, at a Disney Store, or at the gate.
