Upgrading MYW tickets to unexpired and hoppers - done before first use??

Do I need to upgrade my MYW tickets to unexpired before first use or can it be done anytime within the 14 days?

I think I can upgrade to hoppers for $35 a ticket anytime. Am I correct?

You can add non-expiration any time before the ticket expires. The cost depends on the days originally on or added to the ticket, not on the days remaining. Note that adding non-expiration to 8 and 9 day tickets at $107. is not a good buy, you can add the ninth and tenth days to these for $4. apiece or you can add more days to shorter tickets at the time you are considering non-expiration, or before.

You can add the hopping option after original purchase, I think you have to do it before first use or with in 6 days of first use, some other folks say within 13 days of first use. Yes, this costs $35, plus tax regardless of the number of days on the pass or the number of days remaining.
