When upgrading a discounted 4 day hopper to a 5 day hopper do they give you gate price credit after the first use? Anyone have current info on this matter?

Thanks!:goodvibes

I was wondering the same thing for our trip next week. I've seen people on the WDW side say that they were credited for the full value of the tix, not what they paid for them. Hopefully that's true for DLR as well.

Disneyland gives you credit for the price YOU paid.

So if you have a discounted ticket or a ticket purchased before a price increase, you will lose your discount/savings when you upgrade.

Disneyland does not price bridge.

Thanks for the info, even though it's not the answer I hoped for. :-)

:scared1:Yikes! We usually go do WDW and I know they give you gate price after first usage. I was kind of on the fence whether to stay 4 or 5 days, so I guess I better make up my mind before I go!:lmao:

I think this is a case by case, your mileage may vary kind of thing.

We had the buy three days, get a fourth free park hoppers from Orbitz. On June 24 we exchanged our voucher for the tickets and went into the parks activating them. My DD and I were upgrading so when it was time to head to DTD and Naples for dinner we decided to do the upgrade then to get the AP discount. We were both upgraded with full credit for the fourth day. We went in fully expecting to have to pay the difference but it didn't happen. The difference paid for dinner. :cool1:

My advice would be to expect to pay the difference but hope you get lucky like we did.

As the PP said, this is one of those "maybe, maybe not" type things. In general, Disneyland does not bridge prices when your upgrade a ticket. However, some folks have reported that they had the ticket prices "bridged" when they upgraded. It depends on where you bought it and how much the reseller paid for it (I think). This was the thread for a bit ago that talked about bridging:

Mine were bridged when I upgraded to APs in April. I had purchased the "get 4 days for the price of 3" hoppers from Orbitz. Exchanged vouchers for tickets at DLH, entered park and then upgraded at ticket booth that same evening. I agree with not expecting it, but many (including myself) have reported price bridging happening at DLR.
