Upgrading give a day to AP ?

Did you guys make the fleece type that ties on all the sides? That's the kind of was thinking of making but want to make sure it qualifies.

Yes it does qualify. That is what we are doing. They have to be at least 60 inches x 48 inches for one to count per person.

I found her website and there is a FAQ section about the GAD details.

This is what it said on the GAD site:

Samples and a drop off map can be seen here: http://www.binkypatrol.homestead.com

You need to be able to sew, crochet or be able to make fleece tied blankets to take part in this opportunity! Sew by hand, sew by machine, whichever you prefer. Quilting is very welcomed. Basic strip pieced quilts that can be done in less than a day, regardless of how elaborate, qualify for 6 volunteer hours for each one that measures approximately 48" x 60"/ or two 36" X 36". Thanks for helping give the gift of comfort and warmth to kids in need!

It says basic strip pieced quilts are ok.

I'm hoping my kids enjoy the process and we all enjoy our time at DLR!

Once we get to the park, how do we upgrade to the AP? This does actually work right? People have already done it?

You need to take your vouchers to the ticket booths first. They will help you on your upgrade. We were able to get our AP's at the ticket booth since we had previously had DAPs.

But, go to the ticket booths first with your vouchers and they will help you with the process. You cannot go to AP center without going to the ticket booth first.

Have a wonderful trip!

If we use the passes to upgrade to an AP, does anyone know if it matters if the first day you enter is a block out day? In other words, if we go in on a Saturday that is blocked out, and then go to the AP window and upgrade, can we stay in the park for that day?

I'm a little confused. Can you have a park hopper and then upgrade it to an AP with the voucher? We have DAP, but aren't in our renewal window when we go, so I thought we'd just let them lapse and then use the voucher to upgrade the park hoppers we need to buy for that trip up to an AP again.

In some of the other topics about this some people have said, yes, this works, while others say no. I have not tried it yet, but will be doing just that in April.

As the PP said, some people have reported that they have been able to combine their parkhopper and vouchers to upgrade, I read one post that said they were not allowed. According to the website you cannot combine the two:

May I upgrade my free one day ticket to an Annual Pass or multi-day ticket?

Yes, you may upgrade the free ticket to another ticket type of greater value within the applicable upgrade window. However, you are responsible for the incremental cost and the new ticket may only be used by you. No changes or refunds will be given. The value of the free ticket may not be used to combine or upgrade with a separate single or multi-day ticket.

We plan on using our voucher to upgrade to a parkhopper, then after we use the MM we will upgrade the parkhopper to the AP. :thumbsup2

OK..now I'm even more confused...so...we would just not even buy parkhoppers for that trip...go to ticket booth and apply the vouchers to APs? man...confusing..maybe I'll just get a couple of figurines :)

Yes, you can apply the vouchers directly to the AP, but then you miss out on MM. :goodvibes
