water view room at BWI to AP rate ? Is this possible? I currently have a room booked but am now planning on picking up an AP when we arrive in Orlando (Disney stay is a week later). If I call to change the booking (assuming I can't do it online) and tell them I will have an AP but don't have it currently, will they change my non AP rate room to an upgraded AP rate room and just let me pay the difference, if any?

Without an AP, you will not be able to do it online.

But yes, if you call, and that category of room is available with an AP rate, you can change it now and get the AP once you arrive. The front desk will probably ask you to return the following day (or in some time frame) to confirm that you did indeed buy one.

Thank you!! I will have the AP by the time we check in. Now, I have to build up the nerve to call them. I hate talking on the phone. I have an English and also, right now, I have a cold so they never seem to understand me, especially with crackly phone lines!!

What exactly should I say to them?

Just ask if there are annual passholder rates available for the dates you are already booked for. If there is, then you can change it. Just tell them that you will be purchasing the annual pass when you get there, so you don't have the numbers.
It is very easy.

Thank you. Would anyone happen to know if I will need to pay any additional money onto the deposit already paid or would that be enough to secure the ressie. I am working on it belong about the same price per night as the current rack rate room.

Give me your dates (and party size) and I will check availability and give you the rate

That's so nice of you. Thank you. We are a party of 4 (DH and I, DS3 and DD2). Our dates are June 27 to Check out June 30th. We are looking for the Boardwalk Inn, a concierge level room if poss. Thanks again.

The only CL room available for those dates is the garden suite for $426.

There is also a non CL water view room for $291 and non CL standard view for $234.

If you switch to the BC or YC, they both have a lagoon view CL room for $372.

HTH!

It funny because I am looking to do kind of the same thing only staying at GF from Nov 28 thru Dec 4. Are the rates out for that time frame yet?
So even though I wont have the actual AP in hand I still go ahead and change the rate to an AP rate then just show the AP when I get down there? Is that correct? Thanks

AP rates are only out into August right now. They won't be for November until later this summer.

Yes, you are correct about how to do it.

We were booked RPC for 11/28 to 12/4 on a pin code but just switched to the beginning of November instead. Enjoy the GF at Christmastime- its beautiful! :santa:

Thank you so much for that. You've definitely given me some food for thought. I love the Garden Suites (stayed there for our wedding night) hence the love for the Boardwalk. We have been back and forth on staying at the Beach Club for SAB but the Boardwalk is special to us. But Beach Club CL might sway me again. The other optionis to get the room we currently have booked but atthe cheaper rate. All of this and I need to make the changes without DH noticing because any upgrade would be a surprise for his 30th birthday. Hmmmm choices choices choices!!

I gave in and told DH all about it so he could help me decide. He said we should go for Lagoon View Beach Club Club Level. I called and it was available but slightly higher priced. I left it but then wished I hadn't. I called back the next day and was told that were no rooms available at AP rate. I called back on the off chance the next day and got it!! So now we have a Lagoon View Beach Club Club Level room. Soooooo excited.:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:
