Upgrading from 1 Day PH to 3 Day PH

I was reading on mousesavers that if you purchase a 1-day PH ticket at a discounted price, that price would be credited if you decided to upgrade to a 3-day PH ticket, not the full price of a 1-day ticket. So, what if you buy a 1-day PH ticket through a charity auction? Is that ticket able to be upgraded? How do they know how much to credit towards the price of a 3-day PH? Hoping some of you SUPER DL EXPERTS can help me out on this one!

A ticket at an auction might not be upgradeable *at all*. Before bidding, see if you can actually look at the front and back of the ticket, to see if it says if it's a comp ticket, or in some other way not able to be upgraded.

But if it can, they can see (even if it doesn't say it on the ticket itself, it's encoded) what was paid for it, and you'll only get that towards the upgrade.

There is even one sort of ticket where you pay MORE to upgrade (to an AP) than if you'd just bought the AP...military ticket bought in a certain way...military paid less to Disney than they are charging you, and you only get credit for what Disney was paid...

So you definitely want to check out that ticket!
