I think I read this somewhere but I'm not finding the details on the disney site. I am wondering what my options are. My birthday is coming up, it is not on a weekend. I am considering applying the free ticket to an annual pass. Can it be applied toward a SoCal select? Or a Southern Cal AP? Has anyone done this?

I called Disneyland. They said you come on your birthday, get the ticket and then upgrade on the spot to whatever annual pass you want. They will deduct $69 on the price of the pass.

Don't forget that you can get a southern california monthly payment plan. It starts under $6 and goes up from there. I paid $42 or so for my friend and I for annual passports plus the cost of a ticket each. 3 days later they charged $42 and next month will be $42. Great idea for us locals and if my friend needs an upgrade then I can pay the difference.
