Upgrading Costco Ticket?

I asked this on a thread on the Universal resorts board, but I thought it should probably be here instead. Can I upgrade the $89 Costco 3-month ticket to an annual pass? With the AP rates for this summer, it works out cheaper to book as an AP holder, even if I can't upgrade the ticket, but it would be sweet if I can (and I'd be proud to be able to say I'm a Universal AP holder :thumbsup2).

The reservations agent gave me the ticketing number, but they are closed right now.

Thanks!

Yes...you would pay the difference between the $89.00 and the AP price. Guest Services can handle that for you. :thumbsup2

Not heard that the Costco tickets are available again

The Costco tickets I bought last year had to be used by March 31st 2010 :confused3 You mighy want to check

Mine don't have any expiration date on the back - I have looked. I'll be sad if I have a problem with them. :sad2:

Edited to add:

I just called Guest Services and the person I spoke with confirmed that they will be accepted without issue and can be upgraded to an annual pass as Metro West posted. He said they have no expiration date as long as they haven't been activated. Hope he is right!:)

Neither do mine but there were large signs up in Costco stating the 'use by' date when we were there in December.

Fingers crossed your are fine :thumbsup2

Metro is telling you correct information. :thumbsup2

Never doubted that, thanks! :thumbsup2 I was just worried about the Costco passes expiring based on what TraceyL and a few others had posted. I was confident based on Metro's post that I could upgrade if I could get in in the first place!

Totally psyched to think I will be a Universal AP holder! :cool1: Now to work on DH to get him to agree to upgrade everyone's ticket so we can go back for spring break, and summer, and maybe Christmas . . .
