I need to buy my 9 year old a ticket and was wondering about the unused days that I will have left over after this year. When we go back next year can we upgrade his ticket to an adult? If so, how much does it cost and would it be cheaper to just buy him an adult ticket now? (if you can even do that) Can a child use an adult pass to get into any of the parks?

i would call and inquire about that. im sure at the ticket and transportation center they can answer any question that you have about that. that is a really good question and i would love to know the answer for future reference. :confused3

The child ticket will be upgraded to an adult at NO COST. If you are buying your ticket now, make sure you buy the "no expire" type if you plan on using any unused days on another trip. Go to guest relations at your hotel, and if they can't upgrade the ticket for you, they'll tell you where to go.

Wow... Thats cool.. So it would be wise to buy the most days (unexpire option ) for the kids who are within a year of needing an adult ticket.

I would go for the ten day non-expiring, budget permitting.

Most likely your child will get away with using the ticket un-exchanged at age 10, perhaps even at age 11.

Whether or not you need to exchange the child ticket or do so anyway, it is usually unwise to utilize it during a vacation during which you buy another MYW ticket of less than 10 days to finish the vacation with. Trading up the pass may make more sense here.
