upgrading AP

We purchased 4 park DVC AP on May 7th and we are planning our trip next year for April 29 thru May 7th. Has anyone had any success upgrading an AP for the last few days of your pass to a Premium AP? I would love to have WP on my pass next year, especially if it is only a small fee! I would not be interested in upgrading if it meant getting the next yrs pass, as we will not return until the next year.

You used to be able to upgrade your AP for a pro-rated amount. Now, you must pay the difference between a new AP & a PAP, even if your AP is several monthes old. It would expire at the same time as your original AP. I just did this in April for an AP I bought & activated last Oct. It still cost the $120 some dollars difference.
For me it was worth it as I planned on more than 4 water park admissions as well as several PI / DQ admissions....
