Upgrading a Southern Cal City Pass to an AP?

I think I read on the board that it is possible to use the 3 day park hopper on a Southern California City Pass towards an AP. Can someome confirm this for me? Looks like we may be spending more time in San Diego than originally thought and I think the City Pass would be a better deal for us, but we would like to visit DLR for 5 days.

It sounds like you don't need an annual pass, but a five day ticket. You should be able to upgrade your ticket to five days for the price difference between the three day ticket you have in the City Pass and the price for a five day ticket.

If you are planning to do another trip within twelve months, you could upgrade to an AP. The cost difference will once again be between the cost of the three day and the annual pass.

People have reported that they got the value of a pre-purchase 3 day ticket, when upgrading from the citypass. Nice deal!

Thanks for the info. I recently bought an AP for myself and would love to get APs for the kids and DH so that we can go to DLR again either in the fall or just before Christmas.
