Upgrading a Promo ticket to an AP?

A few years ago I upgraded a 4 day pass purchased at UndercoverTourist to an AP as we were leaving the parks on our last night. I didn't pay anything extra and we used the AP's for an unplanned trip later in the year! It was perfect and easy.

For our trip this upcoming spring, I just bought the 3 Park Buy 2 Days get 2 Free (Park to Park) at VisitOrlando.com with the 10% Black Friday discount. They must be purchased by 11/30/17 and used by 5/17/18. Can these tickets be upgraded at the park in March to a 2 Park Seasonal Pass? I've had 2 different customer service reps tell me 2 different things and I really don't like surprises when I'm on vacation...

Seems like I should at least get the value of a 3 Park 2 Day Park to Park ticket and that would cover me for the 2 Park Seasonal Pass, right?

You will get at least the value of the 3 Park 2 Day.

It all depends on whether the ticket is a 3 Park 4 day or a 3 Park 2 day get 2 free. They are two different tickets. UT was selling the 3 Park 4 day to some people at the 3 Park 2 day price. Those tickets got the 4 day value. They were also selling the 3 Park 2 day get 2 free price and those tickets got the 2 day value.

Thanks for the quick response. That would be fine if I got the 3 Park 2 day value. I just got the tickets printed today and they say "3 Park 4 Day Promo Adult SC." Has anyone had any problems upgrading a ticket that is marked "Promo"?
