Sorry for asking and often asked question. I see the topic come up from time to time but I never paid attention b/c it never applied to me. :o Now I can't seem to get the search function to work!

So I have 7 day park hoppers for an upcoming trip in July (bought through UCT before price hike).

We were recently invited to travel back to The World with family in 2017 so we would like to upgrade our park hoppers to annual passes... how do we do that? I was going to call DVC member services to ask but thought I would get much better advice here!!

Also, should I not link my current passes to magic bands if we are planning to upgrade or does that not matter?

Thanks!

You would want to use your tickets for at least 1 park entry, (but before the end of your last park day) and you can then upgrade to the AP or DVC AP at any park guest relations.
The CM that "upgrades" your tickets should use a process called "bridging " which makes your discounted tickets worth the same value as new 7 day tickets.

You want your current tickets added to MDE so you can make FP+ reservations 60 days in advance. Your same magic bands will then work with your new AP after the upgrade.
