yay,
not long now,,only 9 days to go,
we went this time last year too,and had our eurostar tickets given to us with all the other stuff by the travelagent,
when i picked up this years tickets, the eurostar tickets werent there and have been given a reference number to pick them up at ashford station,,,
i was just wondering if any one has been `cheeky` enough to ask for freeupgrades,or dont they do uprades,
would be nice,,bit cramped last year, but dont really notice as we`re getting much too excited :cheer2: ,

Never done this on Eurostar but there's no harm in asking is there?! We wondered if it would be cheeky to ask for a Montana room at the Sequoia Lodge, we just went for it and got the free upgrade! They can only say no!!

i`m gonna give it a try ,,as you say,,they can only say no,,
but fingers crossed,,

I was on the Eurostart from London to Paris last summer and got very friendly with a family and suddenly they disappeared. I was upset that they didn't like me but my daughter had overheard that they requested to be upgraded to first class and it worked. So it might not work every time but it has been done'

ohhhhhhhhh,,,that gives a little shimmer of hope,,
will let you know if i succeed or not,
not long now,,

On our way to DLP 2 weeks ago, first class, a family of four from ecomony class asked if they could upgrade to first class as there were some empty seats in our carriage. However this was not free and they were charged £60 (for all of them) which wasn't bad, as they got the extra comfort and leg room, the breakfast, tea, coffee, cold drinks, newspapers. :goodvibes

I too know people who have upgraded but never for free. Oh, but having said that, when we were on one of our trips they did move a family who were separated in economy (about 5 or 6 of them from kids to grandparent) into what was then castle as there were seats aplenty and I dont think they paid - grandad just kept making such a fuss we were glad they moved them!

wow,,,even at that price ,i wouldnt mind,,theres 3 of us,,will defo have to ask,,
cheers every one
