Upgraded!!

We just returned from WDW. We had booked 2 nights at Carribean Beach and 4 nights at Coronado Springs. When we arrived at Carribean beach they said we can offer you an upgrade to Animal Kingdom Lodge (standard view) What a thrilling place to be for New Years Eve. So if you are hoping for an upgrade on a future trip...as Tink would say...believe!!

We were there Dec 30th for 6 nights and we were upgraded to a Savannah view. It was so nice and we loved it.

Does an upgrade from one resort to another happen often? We have AAA package and are staying at POFQ in June and would love AKL. Is there anyway to hope that this would happen to us?

When you give your name to check in they just said "We can offer you an upgrade" and we just said "Thank you". We did not ask.Our plane was a bit late and we were checking in at 6 pm so I guess they were full.
