Saturday night I finally took the plunge and upgraded from my Canon SD500 Point and Shoot to the Canon T1i DSLR. It is suppose to be here tomorrow and I cannot wait to get it in my hands and play with it.
I got a great deal on a package that included the T1i kit with 18-55 lens AND a Canon PIXMA MP980 printer. It was a great deal at $1,069 with a $300 Mail in Rebate lowering it to $769. That's price was lower than the camera alone and almost as low as the XSi?
I also ordered an extra battery, two 8GB class 6 memory cards, a lens hood, a filter kit (UV, polarizing, and warming), and a remote switch.
I have tried to learn and do as much as I could with my point and shoot and I am really excited to start learning on the DSLR

I have been having so much fun playing around with it to the point that my family has called me annoying.
