upgraded myself

When I first booked on the Wonder I had DCL add the air since I have never flown before and seemed simplier for them to do it. But after finding and reading these boards I did some research on prices and found I could book it myself for almost $1000 less!! ALso after reading the "horry story' thread about the missed cruise due to air problems I decided to have us fly in the night before and stay at the Hyatt. And due to the savings I upgraded us today from a cat 9 oceanview to a Cat 6 with Verandah!! And I still come out saving a couple of hundred than my original price doing it with DCL for a cat 9. Thanks everyone for sharing your experience and tips as it has helped this over planner and worrier
BTW when I called I got my room number (6560) and cat 6....is this on deck 6?

Great decision on upgrading yourself, especially as even with the upgrade you still managed to save $$

I must admit that we always book our flight a day or two before the cruise because we worry about arriving on time, but then we are flying from the UK so it's a bit different.

Cabin 6560 is on deck 6 and is starboard midship, right next to the midship elevators.

CONGRATS on saving all that money, AND upgrading yourself! We did the same thing; we originally booked a Cat. 9, but about a month later decided to "upgrade" ourselves and change to a Cat. 6.

I am a mom to Irish twins too. Hannah (4) and Emily (3). Their birthdays fall on either side of the school cut-off date. They will be in the same grade in school.

Mine are in the same grade as well. Josh was born in Jan and Judy that Dec. she missed the school cut off by 10 days (here in NYC it is Dec 31) so they will both be in K in sept. They are together now in preschool also ( they both attend a special ed preschool full day since they both have PDD)
