Upgraded from Value to Deluxe

Who was the email from? how did you get the discount?

It came from Disney Destinations. We tried to take the Value to Moderate offer but only for the resorts that offered queen-sized beds. Those were all booked, so we asked if there was a discount for going Deluxe.

Looking at the other threads where the upgrade e-mail is mentioned shows that the average upgrade cost from Value to Moderate is about $20/day and from Moderate to Deluxe is about $45/day. Our V to D upgrade ended up being around $50/day.

It couldn't hurt to call and ask if this is available for other dates (we're there 10/20 to 10/25).

This isn't really a cost savings since we would never have sprung for a Deluxe anyway, but the chance to go posh was impossible to resist. The biggest thing about getting YC is getting to use Stormalong Bay. DD and DS are *not* going to want to see the parks when they see it.

A big tip of the ears to everyone on DIS who suggested that another PIN drop would be coming out 8/18! If it weren't for that heads-up, I would not have been checking my e-mail as often yesterday.
