Upgraded from POFQ to Beach Club Resort!

i am out of this world excited. Having been going to Disney World regularly since 2005 we have never received an upgrade. Our favorite resort to stay at has always been POFQ. However, Disney contacted our travel agent and due to overbooking of the pool view rooms they asked if we would like to be upgraded to garden view at The Beach Club! Best birthday trip for my daughter ever! And myself, of course

Wow that's great that Disney gave you that much notice. Being within walking distance of a couple of parks may change your strategy a bit so I'm glad you get some time. Of course that means reworking ADRs and FP+ but isn't the planning (and the stress that it brings, haha) half the fun anyway! Thanks for the info.

Wow, congrats. I'm surprised they had something in BC to move you to considering F&W starts then and the Epcot resorts tend to get booked up. Enjoy.

I've also seen people getting upgraded to Contemporary and Grand Floridian!

Back in 2014 we were checking into All Star Movies and the family next to us were told that they were getting upgraded to the Polynesian for the week! I would have switched with themy in a heartbeat!
